1950s Alvar Aalto Tea Trolley / Cart Table 900 By Aino And Alvar Aalto For ArtekThis is an original Tea Trolley 900 Modern Cart, designed in 1937 by Aino and Alvar Aalto for the World Exhibition in Paris. The Aaltos use of Finnish birch and rattan could be considered an early form of organic modernism; it was their take on the International Style, which celebrated wood in its natural state. The trolley features a white ceramic tiled top, and has an attached rattan basket which makes it perfect for serving. The pieces frame is

This outstanding table is in very good vintage condition
The cylindrical base measures 4 1/2” in diameter
as these types of labels were not used on the plywood chairs
Some of these stools were used in a restaurant and were therefore definitely put into use
It is stamped appropriately on its base
Listed for sale is a gorgeous pair of early George Nakashima for Knoll N19 birch straight chairs
and is 25 inches deep
