Octopus, Lobster and Sea Bass Greeting Cards Set of FiveThis is the full collection of my Greetings Cards, all 5 are taken from original Gyotaku Prints, then Ive worked on them digitally. There are 2 Sea Bass designs and 2 Lobster and 1 Octopus. The cards are 5x7 inches in size that's 12. 7x17. 78 in cm! The card is 300gsm Fresco Gesso textured and comes with a kraft envelope. Each card is in a compostable bag to keep it clean.

I've used three different sized leaves here and black and gold ink

After printing I then use the Urauchi method to apply backing paper to make the print frameable

The overall finish of this work gives it a very different feel to my other work and I've been trying to create this sort of effect for my work for sometime

this doesn't photograph brilliantly but there is something incredibly minimalist about this print

Her use of Acer leaves in place of the traditional fish not only challenges expectations but also highlights the versatility of the Gyotaku method
